See different is an initiative of the
Canadian Centre for Diversity
and Inclusion (CCDI) and is the
first national program in
Canada focused on educating
youth on the aspects of
diversity, equity, and
inclusion (DEI).
Objectives
Oer training content that will equip participants with
knowledge and skills that will help them to be successful when
they enter the workforce.
Create a valuable credential that young people can add to their
resume.
Build a network of DEI youth ambassadors across the nation,
connected with local organizations.
Empower youth to become a force for positive change in their
schools and communities.

This program is oered free of charge to youth in Canada
between the ages of 15-24. This age range is based on the UN
definition of youth.

National Youth Ambassador Network
for Emerging Leaders of DEI
An educational youth program of
Upon completion of the program, participants will
receive an invitation to join the network which will
allow them to engage with other youth passionate
about diversity, equity, and inclusion. The network
will also create opportunities for participants to
meet with and learn more about organizations and
employers working in the DEI space.
This is the beginner-level certificate that combines
theory and practice and will serve as an introduction
to the different aspects of diversity, equity, and
inclusion. This component will be divided in two,
2.5-hour workshops and 3 hours of additional study,
including a final assignment.
Youth that complete the Principles of DEI
certificate can enroll in this advanced level course
where they will participate in three 2.5-hour
workshops and must complete 4.5 hours of
additional study, including a final project.
The certificates do not need to be completed consecutively;
participants can take a break between them so long as they
are still eligible for the program.
The workshops will be presented through live Zoom video
sessions.
