Employer Equity Practitioner’s Group – Boot Camp

For Employer Partners and their employees who are new to the employment equity role, we offer Employment Equity Boot Camp.

Boot Camp entails the following:

  • Introduction to legislative requirements
  • Coding your employees – how to use NOC codes
  • Communications
  • Self-Identification Questionnaire
  • Preparing your data for import to WEIMS
  • Analyzing your results – what to look for
  • Creating short- and long-term strategies

Boot camp will be held on March 30.

Who should attend:

  • Employer partners: Up to two (2) employees from your organization can attend for free.
  • Individual Practitioners: If you are an employee of a company that falls under Employment Equity Legislation, you can attend this event for free. Click here to register as an Individual Practitioner.
  • Independent Consultants: You may register for this event for a fee.

About the facilitator:

  Zakeana Reid, CHRP is the Senior Director, Western Canada for CCDI. During her career, Zakeana has had the opportunity to influence and design programs within Recruitment and Training to promote and encourage diversity within the companies as well as manage the Employment Equity Programs and Plans. Zakeana brings over 7 years of work experience in the areas of Equity and Diversity, from performing annual LEEP audits to analyzing data and finally creating programs for companies embracing diversity and inclusion. In 2011, she proudly received Morrison Hershfield’s honourable mention award for Best Workplace for Diversity, presented by Alberta Venture’s Alberta’s Best Workplaces.
