Carmina Ravanera is a researcher, writer and editor focused on gender and racial inequality, social justice, and human rights. At the CCDI, she works with dozens of organizations from various sectors and industries, helping them become more diverse and inclusive of marginalized groups through the use of CCDI’s Diversity Census Tool. She also conducts original, sector-specific research for CCDI. Carmina has experience in both qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection and analysis.
Carmina holds an MSc in Gender, Development and Globalization from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in International Development from McGill University. In the past, she worked on research projects on missing and murdered indigenous women in Canada and women’s economic empowerment in rural India. She has also worked with international development NGOs in India and the Philippines.
Carmina is passionate about understanding and addressing structural barriers for marginalized groups in Canada and around the world.
