As Coordinator, Consulting at CCDI, Yuriko Cowper-Smith supports the Consulting Team in research, analysis and writing of Current State Inclusivity Assessments and D&I Strategies.
Yuriko is completing a PhD in Political Science at the University of Guelph. She received her Master of Public and International Affairs from Glendon College, and her Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Ottawa.
She has extensive experience working in academic and community-based research. For three years, she has worked at the Community Engaged Scholarship Institute at the University of Guelph in various capacities, and has completed projects for five community partners. She has also held various positions in governmental organizations, such as the Council of the Federation Secretariat in Ottawa, the UK Consulate in Toronto, and the Embassy of Canada in Vietnam.
Yuriko is passionate about learning about how to make our communities more inclusive. Currently, she is a part of a private sponsorship group for a family of Syrian refugees in Toronto.
