Haley Cochrane is an experienced project, policy, and event professional with a background in legal studies, Aboriginal services, and human resources.
While working for Scotiabank, Haley held various project and coordination roles in the Human Resources and Global Employment Strategies divisions, where she gained valuable skills and experience related to project management, sponsorship coordination, event coordination, and HR and Inclusiveness policy management and development. She also previously worked in Aboriginal banking at Scotiabank and the Aboriginal Resource Centre at UOIT.
Since joining the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion, Haley has successfully coordinated more than 25 events for CCDI, including 4 conferences in 4 different cities in the fall of 2016. In addition, Haley has coordinated 2 major fundraising events including CCDI’s first annual gala fundraiser, Bloom!, in April 2016 which raised over $50,000; the CCDI Great General Counsel Auction, which raised $25,000.
Haley is extremely passionate about multiple issues within the diversity and inclusion realm, with specific experience around mental health awareness, Aboriginal rights, and Aboriginal social justice movements.
She has achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in legal studies with a major in human rights law from UOIT, as well as a Law Clerk Diploma from Georgian College.
