Anne-Marie Pham has worked with diverse communities and workplaces for over 20 years. She has a deep understanding of issues and opportunities related to diversity, and endeavours to integrate diversity and inclusion principles in her daily practice. Anne-Marie was born in Vietnam and lived in France for 12 years before making Canada her permanent home. She has a master’s degree in public administration (MPA), a BA in Sociology and a senior HR Professional certification with the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). Her most recent role was as Manager of Diversity and Employment Equity at Spectra Energy. From 2012 to August 2014, she led the City of Calgary’s corporate framework and 3-year action plan for ‘Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace’. She also trained and provided advice to federal contractors and employers legislated under Employment Equity for Human Resources & Skills Development Canada. Prior to her career in diversity, Anne-Marie co-founded a high-tech company called Techneos Systems, which focused on developing global survey data collection technology for multiple mobile platforms. Anne-Marie has deep roots in Calgary’s ethno-cultural community with leadership experience in several organizations including the Ethno-Cultural Council of Calgary, the Asian Heritage Foundation, and the Calgary Vietnamese Youth Association, which she co-founded.
Anne-Marie is a wife and mother of two, as well as an avid community engagement volunteer, supporting civic participation and community leadership development especially among immigrants, visible minorities, women and youth. In 2013, she received the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee award for her community service.
