CCDI Consulting offers three eLearning open enrollments courses.

Our objective is to help you as an individual to commence or consolidate your diversity, equity, and inclusion learning journey in a way that is tailored to your time and budget, while adhering to adult learning principles and best practices.

The open enrollment format gives you the opportunity to choose your courses and create your learning pathway individualistically and not necessarily as a member of an organization.

Course content and design

The contents of these 30-minute programs are informed by the latest research in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), as well as by our experience in working with Canada’s largest workplaces to support their diversity and inclusion journeys.

Our programs are concise and interactive. We provide learners with practical tips, tools, and techniques needed to shift behaviours towards inclusion. We use practical scenarios to engage learners and provide readily applicable solutions to real-life challenges.

In designing our courses, we adhere to the principles of Universal Instructional Design (UID). UID is a process that considers the potential needs of learners when designing and delivering instruction, to remove barriers and ensure the quality of the learning experience is consistent for all learners, regardless of their level of ability.

Available programs

Diversity and inclusion fundamentals

This program provides participants with a robust, shared understanding of what we talk about when we refer to diversity and inclusion, and why diversity and inclusion are keys to the success of organizations as well as individuals.

By the end of the program, learners will be able to:

  • Differentiate between representation and diversity, and between equity, equality, and inclusion
  • Justify the business case for developing a work culture that values diversity and is truly inclusive of all
  • Understand how personal dimensions of diversity impact personal perspectives and workplace behaviours

Managing bias in hiring

This program is designed to help talent leaders (recruiters, human resources professionals and people managers) to ensure that inclusive processes and practices support the recruitment of a diverse, forward-thinking, and innovative workforce.

By the end of the program, learners will be able to:

  • Identify when bias might be affecting their hiring decisions
  • Recognize the possible consequences of bias
  • Develop alternative approaches to help minimize the effects of bias on hiring

Unconscious bias

This program tackles one of the most pervasive barriers to inclusion: unconscious bias. By exploring different types of biases, we understand their sources, impact and cyclicality.

By the end of the program, learners will be able to:

  • Understand how biases can form without them knowing
  • Define different types of unconscious bias
  • Recognize behaviours and decisions that may be influenced by bias
  • Apply strategies to manage the effects of unconscious bias
