Sujay brings with him extensive experience in the field of human resources spanning across banking, insurance, pharmaceuticals, engineering, food services, manufacturing, consulting and academia. His human resources expertise include HR Strategy, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Performance Management, Diversity & Inclusion and Employee Relations.
It is this width and depth of HR experience that enables Sujay to strategically plan and influence solutions for Diversity & Inclusion. Most recently he worked at Scotiabank where he was the architect of the Bank’s Diversity & Inclusion Strategy, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) Operating Model, and positioning the Bank as an Employer of Choice through Diversity Recruitment Marketing and other initiatives.
Sujay stays current on best practices by being a member of Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA), Strategic Capability Network (SC Network) and the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). He is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources (HRPD) and a Masters in Personnel Management (MPM).
Sujay is a sought after keynote speaker, panelist and workshop facilitator and has spoken at the annual conferences of – Conference Board of Canada, Job Opportunity Information Network (JOIN) and Canadian Immigrant – Career, Education and Settlement Fair.
He has been invited to be an advisory committee member with ACCES Employment, Aboriginal Human Resources Council (AHRC), Job Opportunity Information Network (JOIN), Canadian Immigrant and Information Communication and Technology Council (ICTC).
His passion to guide and share his knowledge of HR with aspiring professionals has led Sujay to be a visiting faculty at University of Toronto, George Brown College and Centennial College.
A strong proponent of volunteerism, Sujay has volunteered at both the community and professional levels for many years. He currently sits on the Board of Wismer Public School Parent Council. Past volunteer roles include Treasurer of CPAWS Wildlands League, Director at Large of Centennial College Alumni Association, and volunteer at the HRPA Annual conference.
