Senior Manager, Consulting
Angelin Soosaipillai is Senior Manager, Consulting for the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI). She leads large consulting projects by measuring and assessing organizations, conducting research, analyzing data, writing reports, and providing recommendations based on global benchmarks and recognized best practices.
Angelin brings over seven years of experience in working with experts in law, human resources, and finance to develop leading publications, conferences, and e-Learning programs. She is a learning and development professional with a specialty in designing equity, diversity, and inclusion programs.
Prior to joining CCDI, Angelin lead the development of the Ontario Bar Association’s (OBA) diversity and inclusion portfolio in her capacity as a Professional Development Lawyer. She regularly consulted with diversity and inclusion thought leaders, including lawyers from equity-seeking groups. Angelin designed, launched, and expanded the OBA’s first series of diversity and inclusion leadership certificate programs to reduce systemic barriers for diverse lawyers and accelerate a culture shift in the legal profession and justice system.
Angelin is a past Board Member of a non-profit organization that works to build a pipeline of talent by inspiring girls and young women to embrace careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through educational programs and mentorship. She is a freelance legal writer for various Thomson Reuters publications in employment law with a focus on issues related to human rights in the workplace. Angelin holds an LLB from the University of Birmingham and a BA with Honours from the University of Toronto.
