Keely is a University of Guelph graduate, with a Master of Arts in Sociology, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree, with a double major in Sociology and History. Her research focused on gender discrimination, specifically on young women’s experiences of sexual violence and harassment, and on barriers to women in criminal justice professions. She previously worked for the Community Engaged Scholarship Institute in a variety of roles, overseeing community-engaged research projects, and worked with University Administration on a variety of committees, focused on advancing the status of under-represented groups on campus.

She is passionate about research and is excited to apply her knowledge and skills to help our partners work towards their goals in building inclusive environments.
In her free time, Keely volunteers with Indigo Girls Group, an organization that provides leadership to young girls as they pursue their own goals and initiatives. She can often be found hiking with her dog, in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes, or planning a new adventure to travel and experience a new culture!
