Birju Dattani is with the Alberta Human Right Commission where he has served as the Ass’t Northern Director for almost three years. He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE) and a PhD in Public International Law from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
Before his tenure at the AHRC, Birju was a teaching fellow in the faculty of Law at the School of Oriental and African Studies, while also serving as a consultant to the United Nations Office for the Coordination for Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA). He has lectured widely in the area of International Human Rights Law & International Humanitarian Law.
