Inspired by the brand’s internal culture and strong commitment to inclusivity, global fashion retailer Bench is thrilled to announce the launch of its upcoming diversity campaign in support of Canadian charities ENSEMBLE for the respect of diversity and the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI) on September 16th. To kick off its diversity campaign, Bench will host a special one-day promotion at all its 37 locations across Canada to unveil the brand’s revamped Heritage Collection, including multicoloured-logo tees, hoodies, and on-theme pins featuring the hashtags #lovemyhood, #myheritage, and #beyourself. The one-day event in support of diversity will offer up multicoloured-logo tees for the special price of $10, with partial proceeds going directly to ENSEMBLE for the respect of diversity and CCDI. Following this promotion, the multicoloured-logo tees, hoodies, and pins will be available to purchase at regular price. Partial proceeds will continue to benefit ENSEMBLE for the respect of diversity and CCDI until October 9th.
To continue its commitment to diversity, Bench’s St. Catherine location will host a special event in store on September 16th where they are inviting all Bench fans to an open casting call for their fall campaign. Interested shoppers will try on Bench’s new multicoloured-logo apparel and have their photo taken from on-site brand reps in support of the campaign’s primary message of diversity, inclusion, and authenticity. A videographer and DJ will also be on-site to promote and capture the experience.
Bench’s heritage/diversity campaign will tie into a larger message of: going back to your roots and being proud of where you come from. On the coattails of #lovemyhood, Bench will continue to promote a message of love for your hoodie, neighbourhood and all the people in it. On route to the gym or running errands - it’s not just about the clothes, but the unique people wearing them.
