The Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI) has been contracted by the Peel Police Services Board to conduct an equity, diversity and inclusion audit of the Peel Regional Police. An important part of this project is gathering information and feedback from residents of the Peel Region about their experiences with Peel Regional Police.
We would like to hear feedback from you on your experiences with the Peel Regional Police as related to the themes of equity, diversity and inclusion.
This Public Survey has been prepared by the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion for the Peel Regional Police Services Board. By completing this survey, you are contributing to the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion’s equity audit of Peel Regional Police. By collecting information, the Peel Regional Police Services Board can better understand the perceptions that Peel Region residents have of the Peel Regional Police as related to equity, diversity and inclusion. These results will help target areas of success and improvement with respect to their role as a police organization in a diverse community.
What's next
The input received during the townhall consultations and public survey, in conjunction with CCDI’s other data collection methods, will be instrumental in the development of CCDI’s final report to the Peel Regional Services Board.
The report, the Current State Inclusivity Assessment or Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Audit, will provide an overview of what was heard and documented from the townhall consultations and survey. The report will be delivered to the Peel Regional Police Services Board at the end of Spring 2018.
The information you provide in this survey will be kept strictly confidential. Your responses are encrypted, stored outside of Peel Regional Police Services Board, and handled in accordance with privacy legislation. The survey is run by a third party/external organization (CCDI). CCDI collects your responses and creates anonymous and aggregated reports that will be part of the Peel Regional Police Services Board equity audit. In other words, CCDI puts your responses together with the responses of other members of the community. The Peel Regional Police Services Board will never be able to review your information or the answers you provided, and your information will only ever be used to create aggregate reports.
